  Friday, April 26th  
   
   Welcome to Dewey! One of the most dog friendly beaches in the U.S.!
   
  4:00  "Yappy Hour" begins at Bluecoast!
   
                  We all know Dewey is a wonderful town for dogs. Much of the transformation is due to the work of former Dewey Mayor, Diane Hanson. Pleas join us at "Yappy Hour" when Diane will join us to talk about her new book,

Management Unleashed: Leadership Lessons From My Dog

Saturday, April 27th
   
9:00 - 12:00      Photos of your doodle (no humans) in the Hyatt Dewey Lobby. Pop-up booth. Photos taken by Sarah Meashaw of Pooch Portrait Studio. Watermarked high resolution digital files are $25 with 10% of proceeds donated to Food&Friends.
   
10:00 Enter the beach from either Saulsbury or New Orleans Street. Representatives will be at both entrances to provide you with information and swag bags. 
   
  Coffee and tea, on the beach, provided by our sponsor, Altantic Oceanside Resort.
   
11:00 Costume parade. Sign up at the registration table if you’re interested. 
   
 Noon Pizza delivered to the beach by Grotto Pizza.
   
  1:00  Raffle winners announced. A $50/$50 raffle will also be held. Look for a Romp helper with a sign and basket coming around the beach.  We have hotel coupons, gift cards, pet baskets, beautiful original doodle art, this year's poster (printed and framed), gift certificates for grooming, Clear Space Theatre and more! We listened to your suggestion, and, this year, you can choose the items you'd like to win!
   
  4:00 New! Ice Cream Social for the Doods & Happy Hour for the Humans!
Head on over to Rehoboth to new sponsor, Salty Paws and Arena Deli. These two side-by-side establishments have plenty of room to help us relax and congregate after a day on the beach....and, Salty Paws has ice cream specially formulated for our dogs - so it's a healthy as well as tasty treat. Don't know if we can say the same thing about the beer at Arena's for us owners!
   
  6:00     on or, continue the festivities and go back to Mama Maria or Bluecoast for dinner!
   

Sunday, April 28th
   
10:00  Diane Hanson will be at Atlantic Oceanside to give another book talk.
Yoga on the beach by certified yoga teacher and fitness trainer, Pattie Cinelli.

  We welcome new sponsors Baked (in Dewey), Concord Pet,  Sarah England Designs and Counseling & Psychotherapy Services of Washington. They join Atlantic Oceanside, The Starboard, Pet Station and Pups in Lewes.
   
  Looking for something to do early on Romp day?  Starting at 8am in Rehoboth (which is right next door to Dewey), there is Pups for Patrol for Heroes Walk.  Partnering with Tails of Valor, these organizations provide service dogs for veterans. The festivities are at the bandstand in Rehoboth.

  Ice cream social for our doodles at Salty Paws in Rehoboth combined with a happy hour next door at Arena, a deli for humans. Saturday at 4pm

  We have an official Romp photographer for the first time this year.
   
  Gary's and Woody's in Dewey will also accommodate small groups of us with our dogs.

  Please be sure to stop by the Food & Friends tables to learn more about what they do and how they help people.
   
  There are no portable bathrooms on the beach as they are not allowed. Gary's, Baked, and the Starboard welcome you to use their facilities. Gary's and Baked are down Saulsbury Street, oceanside. The Starboard is directly across the street.  
   
  Want to go out without your doodle some time during the weekend? Jungle Jim's Taj-Ma-Howl, will board your dog and give you a 10% Romp discount.They're right in Dewey, 1705 Coastal Hwy, (by the Bottle&Cork). Call in advance to make reservations for Day Care or Boarding.  302.988.4186
   
  Want to wash your doodle? Dirty Dogs self wash will be open for us 'till 6 on Saturday and 11-3 on Sunday. You don't need a specific appointment, but call ahead 302.226.1364. Located in Henlopen Junction. Rehoboth Ave. Extended. Just before Route 1. Special discounted rates for Romp participants.

Doodles in Dewey is great for the whole family.  Kids love it!

Register the number of people in your group and the number of doodles you are bringing.

Yes! Dog licenses are available 24/7 in a kiosk outside the town hall/police station on Rodney Street. Cost is $5.00 for 3 days or $10.00 for 8 days. The lifetime license is $35.00 - but this one IS NOT available at the kiosk. You have to go into the station to get one; they're only available M-F 9-5. For other information on dog licenses, please call Joyce at town hall. Service dogs do not require a license.

No, everyone should register separately so we can have an accurate count on-line.  You don't need to bring the registration to the beach.  If you're coming at the last minute, do try and register on-line, or check in at the main table so you and your dog(s) will be counted.

It's still off-season in Dewey. No parking permits required. Meters are inactive. You can find parking on all the side streets.

Alcohol is not allowed on the beach. Anything else you want to for a day at the beach is okay. Chairs, a blanket, dog toys, etc. Water will be available for purchase and we'll have Grotto pizza  slices on sale at the beach for lunch.
